Ronald Johnson, D.D.S.
Chief Academic Diversity Officer
Dr. Ronald Johnson was appointed chief academic diversity officer in late 2005. He had served as vice president for strategic affairs from 2003 and dean of The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston from 1996.
In his current role, Dr. Johnson heads the Office of Cultural and Institutional Diversity.
Johnson earned his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed a Forsyth postdoctoral fellowship and received his specialty certification in Pediatric Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 1973, he became a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
In 1999, Johnson was chosen Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for Harvard's School of Dental Medicine; 1998 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year-University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine; 1999 Fellow of the International College of Dentists; and 1984 Fellow of American College of Dentistry.
